Heaven Points

Heaven Points: Get em while you can! Yes people there are heaven points. Its a Who’s Who ultimate A-list you wanna be on. And you want to go to heaven right? So pay attention and learn a few quick and easy ways to earn you a spot where people like Mother Theresa live.

From the SAT to the grocery store card. Those values cards that earn you frequent flier miles are all generated by a point system. Don’t believe me? Just take a look on how many “saving cards” you have. There’s Home Depot, PetSmart, and Blockbuster, just to name a few. Our society runs well with the point system. So how do you get some good ol’ heaven points?

When you see an article about autistic children at a pumpkin patch and not only read the article but tell people about it, that’s gotta be a point. And going to said event registers at least double points. All that’s missing from that set-up is a blind puppy.

Now, while I do not proclaim to know the intricate details of the actual points system, as God is fickle and changes the rules often, I am certain that the ability to earn the points exists. He likes to give us mere mortals a fighting chance.

Try helping an elderly person at the store on one of those self-check outs and let them use your discount card. Those are heaven points and discount savings on your next purchase! Win-Win, baby!

Buying a pet from a pet store? That’s a lose deal. Or maybe you won’t budge your ass on the flight to let a family sit together because you just have to have the aisle seat on the one-hour flight? Actually that may even get you negative points. Yes people those exist!

But getting a one-eyed kitten at the local shelter plus a small donation, for the fine job, said shelter is doing? Cha-Ching!

Hey, you’re no prize. You’ve got flaws. The only way to gain any balance on the field is to do a bit of good for someone….and yourself.
